It's a Boy

It's a Boy!

Long time no see... I know, no posting for close to two weeks, but I wasn't sitting idle on the cards department.

No card making, it is true, except the one I am here to show you, but I was busy doing an inventory of my cards, and refurbishing this blog especially the postings way at the beginning. I used to stick a picture and add a title and go back to my drawing board.

Then I learnt...

Hence the close to two weeks I just spent arranging those first steps postings.

As a reward for this hard work I allowed myself to make ONE card. Just one.

A baby one by chance, because I do own this Itty Bitty Solar Elem stamp that I never used, until today.

I made it a baby mobile!

I first printed the sentiment on a white linen, and added a green card stock where I punched a window with a 3.5 in scalloped punch.

I stamped my Solar Elem on a striped paper, blue, green and white and cut out all the hanging elements.

I stamped it again on the white linen and added the stamped stars to it..

I then doodled a hanging thread, a bow and dropped a little bit of 3D paint to make a sort of nail.

To finish the card, I rounded the corners.

Thanks Heaven for Little Girls

THANKS HEAVEN...
... for little girls.

Of all the cards I made, this might be my all time favorite one... There is everything you have to look forward to when a little girl arrives:

- the flowers she will pick up for you in the garden,

- the pink ribbon everywhere,

- the pink BOW in her hair,

- the little dress hanging in the summer breeze,

and the hearts she will leaves all around when she gets hold of a paper and a crayon.

The clothe line is an Itty Bitty stamp, and I mainly used my Copics to color the many hanging things.

To give a little dimension to the background, I scored vertical lines every 1/2 inch of the white card-stock in the background.

The bow punch is a Martha Stewart one and the little heart is one of those $1 Michaels punch.

Until next time...

Celebrating Your Birthday

CELEBRATING...
,,, your birthday.

Each time I looked at this card, I can almost feel the wind in my face, see the clouds gliding up in the sky, hear the birds singing, the crickets chirping and smell the fragrant spring flowers.

No way this is a static card.

I used this wonderful stamp from ITTY BITTY called "love" on a blue card stock. I then punched out the big cloud and added a white little cloud on the top right corner. It both gives dimension to the card and allow me to have a space to stamp the sentiment from Sparkle'N Sprinkle.

Both punches are from Fiskars.

I added a piece of big ribbon that I tucked in the opening from the clouds, and I made a free standing blue bow that I stuck on top, to hold the clothe line...

I then let my Copics work their magic!

Until next time...

Hearts and Butterfly

Hearts and Butterfly.

On a kraft card stock, I added a piece of green striped paper that reminded me of a patch of grass.

I stamped three flowers from Katie and Co and hid the flower part under three pink punched hearts that I lined up with a white marker all around.

I added a punched butterfly made with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and doodled a dotted line under it.

I then stamped "I'll always love you", a ITTY BITTY stamp and colored the heart with my red copic marker.

To finish the card, I added a dotted line in white around the top edge.

Until next time.

Home

Home.

This ITTY BITTY stamp is really one of my favorite.

I usually color the windows opening in yellow to relay the light of the inside of the house which makes it a Home.

This time in coloring a few accent of the outside i thought it was conveying the message better.

I also choose the font of the message very carefully.

Hang in There

Hang in There

As a scrapbooker, I sometimes keep papers and embellishments forever before finding where to case them.

The paper in this card was actually a wrapping paper, hard to see in here, but it is in cotton more than paper.

I I like the mix of texture in this card, although you cannot really tell in the picture.

The sun is punched with a scallop punch, the clouds are from two sizes of Fiskars cloud punches.

The birdhouse is an ITTY BITTY stamp, and I cut it out and propped it with dimensionals, which allowed me to tie a piece of baker's twine.

I anchored the two ends of the twine with some heart stickers and added a handwritten sentiment.

Welcome Baby Bird House

Welcome Baby Bird House.

Another welcome baby card... it was just a pretext to use this ITTY BITTY birdhouse stamp and the little teddy bear punch.

I just love the way it is hanging by an ear...

I used my Fiskars cloud punch and positioned a cloud with dimensionals.

I added a sun made with a scalloped punch.

The bow and the teddy bear are punched out of blue card stock and added on top. I drew free hand the clothes line, and made a little clothes pin with a brown marker.

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

I'll Always Love You Flower

I'll Always Love You.

With the Heart Punch all over the page from Martha Stewart, I punched out a flower (or a clover), and added a little button in its center to anchor the green thread.

On the bottom part, I anchored the thread under the sentiment stamped with a ITTY BITTY  stamp.

I added a touch of color with a red copic marker, and a slim white ribbon on the spine of the card.

The white linen liner can be seen through the kraft card.

Thinking of You

Thinking of You

This ITTY BITTY house and tree stamp is very versatile if you chose to stamp it on different color card stock. I kept the tree on the kraft but added a stamped house on a striped blue card stock.

This card stock is solid blue on its reverse side and I punched two clouds one in solid blue and one in striped blue.

I added dimensionals under the top cloud.

The "thinking of you" sentiment was printed beforehand and die cut with a Lifestyle Party Flags die cut.

I added a piece of sheer ribbon through the opening, and again at the bottom of the card.

Here is another version on white linen:

Happiness

Happiness.

This Irish blessing stuck to me enough that I wanted to make a card with it.

Happiness being the important word in this quote, I chose a different font for it which made it stand out.

I matted it in light blue card stock and used a striped light blue card stock to stamp the house from ITTY BITTY on. The house, whose door the happiness is going to go through...

I chose a kraft card stock for the card but it would be as striking on a white linen.

Life is a Beautiful Ride

Life is a Beautiful Ride.

Oh yes, it is... you look back on the years behind you, and funny as a human being is, you only remember the good times.

Better it is this way, or the human race will be extinct... if a woman could just remember the pain of childbirth. Right?

No, what she does remember, is the first time she held her baby in her arm, the first time he smiled, or the first time he handed her a flower he just picked up in the garden.

Yes, life is a beautiful ride. And a fast one too....

I chose to use  Kraft paper and added a stamped sailboat from ITTY BITTY as well l as the stamped sentiment from the same set on white linen.

I added two flower brads and used a stencil and a white marker to draw waves under this sailboat on its wonderful ride....

Here is another version of the same card:

Get well soon.

I added a Papertrey Ink stamped sentiment and a lone wavy line made with a white marker and a stencil.

The sun and the cloud are made with punches.

Until next time.

Thank You House and Tree

Thank You House and Tree.

This ITTY BITTY stamp is so versatile that you can pretty much use it with any sentiment.

I chose a thank you card this time, but kept the yellow copic marker in the window.
That little touch of color is all it needs.

Shoot for the Moon

Shoot for the Moon

A simpler version of the card on post 36. No matting, no score lines.

Just a simple stamping with coloring of the star.

Cupcake on Shimmery Champagne

Cupcake.

Another beautiful stamp from ITTY BITTY, a simple cupcake from the set I'll Always Love You.

On top of a blank card with a shimmery champagne matting, and using copic markers to make the image pop up.

House and Tree on Shimmery Champagne

House and Tree.

Once again this ITTY BITTY beautiful stamp.

This time on a shimmery champagne card stock as a matting and to add to the simplicity of the card, some scored line around the frame.

Miss You House and Tree

Miss You House and Tree

This ITTY BITTY stamp set is just adorable.

I paired it with a Miss You sentiment, and what makes it a beautiful card is the yellow coloring of the windows, like if the light was shining from the inside of the house, giving it a warm feeling.

Shoot for the Moon on Shimmery Champagne

Shoot for the Moon.

I just love that quote.. I see this card as a graduation card, or a pick-me-up little note when somebody is ready to embark in a new adventure in life.

The stars were just waiting to be filled up with a yellow copic marker.

I matted the picture on shimmery champagne card stock and then scored around the frame.
