Just when I thought I was done with Graduation cards ideas, I remembered I had some black graduation tins from Scrap Yard 329 I hadn't yet used.

Well here they are!

Coupled with the usual cap and diploma I have been using on all the others cards, I thought it would be perfect when peeking through the little windows of the A Cut Above window card...

You can't really tell on the picture below but the black square is actually a tin cap and diploma.

I used again those round sentiments from the site below:

And propped the sentiment, the diploma and the cap with a dimensional.

More Silver Graduation Cards

As the graduation announcements are piling in my mail box, I realized I might need more Congratulations Graduate cards.

So this is what I did this afternoon.

Keeping with the silver and white spirit,

I came up with 4 more ideas. I think I might actually have enough cards, now.

 Idea #1:

I finally used this Cuttlebug embossing folder I own and never got out. I must admit, cutting the top right corner out is not my idea. I saw this on Pinterest, and the beautiful card comes from this blog:

The sentiments are also embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, and the diploma is a stamp from Sparkle'n Sprinkle.

The cap is from this wonderful $1 Michael's stamp set.

Idea #2:

Keeping with the same idea, I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder I just received: this one embosses two sets of two horizontal lines. 

In the space between them I taped a silver ribbon.

The sentiment are embossed with those mini Cuttlebug embossing folders, and I added a diploma or cap with dimensionals.

Idea #3:

Not that much different from the last one, just a circular sentiment on top of a black card stock cut with a Lifestyle Craft Scalloped Circle.

Idea #4:

Embossing folders galore... there are the Cuttlebug with horizontal lines, this time set right in the middle, the mini Cuttlebug folders "simple shapes" for the silver flower and diamond, and the mini sentiment ones.

Another Graduation Card

I guess the weather outside is putting me in the mood, we have May Grey or June  Gloom, your pick. 

Hence, my graduation cards ideas are still flowing in.

I was keeping with the silver/black/ diploma/ round sentiment/ cap from the previous cards, but I added something new, that you might be able to see better on the detail picture below of the bottom left of the card.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the top part of the card, and a mini folder to emboss the "You did it!".

I also scored two sets of double line on each side of this little sentiment.

The cap and the diploma are propped up with dimensionals.

I guess I wasn't done with my inspiration. I thought of two more of those graduation cards, this time, going back to basic.

Will that be it for now? Who knows....

Graduation Stair Steps Cards

GRADUATION...

... stair step cards.

Yep, one more idea! Am I full of those or what?

I had that stack of "Stair steps" cards gathering spider webs, and since I am in the mood for graduation cards, I decided to couple the two, "Graduation Stair Steps Cards" was born.

Nothing new in the stamps used... by now, you are beginning to know those....

I went silver and black for the color scheme, instead of the red and black from our High School colors.

CONGRATULATIONS...

... on your Graduation.

Looking at ordering graduation announcements for my daughter made me think that June will be here in no-time. 

That is all I needed to get back in graduation card mood.

I found that wonderful site on line with round sentiments for any occasion. The advantage is that you can crop them to desired size.

CONGRATS!

YES... another graduation card... how timely!

No, really, aren't we all surfing the net in search for THE one, the exceptionally clever and never done before graduation card?

Well, good luck... they have all been done before, believe me.

But, that doesn't prevent you to look again, soak in all those ideas, and come up with something a little newer, a little less done.

Below is the one I designed last night.... I know, I know, you've seen some like that before. 

But this one is mine.

Yep! One of those flip-card! In the landscape position I chose to make this one, it is not that easy to display.

But here is one side:

... and here is the other side.

I left a lot of white there so you can write a little something to the graduate.

I bought those flip card from A Cut Above: they had a display at the Anaheim scrapbook fair last month.

The red card stock is from paperandmore.com. I run it through a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the framed part and left it plain in the middle square.

The "CONGRATS" sentiment is one of those $1 stamp Michael's used to carry... I cannot find them anymore.

All the other stamped images (the cap, the diploma and the "So very proud of you") are also a $1 set.

I guess I never get enough of those.

Red and Black are our high school colors, so most of my ideas come in those two colors. Don't they go together beautifully?

For a change, I rounded the corners of the cards....

I am still using that $1 Michael's stamp set. I cut out the stamped images and used foam stickers to prop them up a little.

The two sentiments are printed on my computer.

... a last hick-up.

Well just for this week at least. I can't say the Graduation virus won't strike again but for now, this is it.

I chose silver and black, but this card could be customized to any high school or college colors.

Looking at the pictures below, I just realized I forgot to highlight the tassel and the cord on the diploma in gold... just close your eyes and imagine.
