Quick Little Cards

Mason Jar, you are everything... in kraft  with a mason jar stamped on vellum with silver ink, and a heart punch to let the sentiment peer through.

I added a little piece of string around the neck of the mason jar, and stamp a red heart with a stick from Stamps by Judith.

Filled with Love

Filled...
... with love

Ever since I found that Mason Jar stamp, I have been thinking of the best way to use it in a card.

A jar. A jar is filled with something. Jam. Sweet things.

OK, let's filled mine with love.

-291-

After the Scrapbook fair last week end, I came back with a load-ful of embossing folders, that I also was dying  to use.

I run the silver card stock through my cuttlebug in a Chevron Cuttlebug embossing folder. I was trying to match the silver ink I used with my Mason Jar INKADINKADO stamp.

I first stamped the image on vellum, then embossed it with a Heart cuttlebug embossing folder.

I then added a yellow card stock that I trimmed just a little bigger than the jar itself.

The labels is from Kaiser Scrapbook and the sentiment is a tiny one from Sparkle n' Sprinkle.

I finished the card with a yellow baking twine, I cannot get enough of those...

For My Friend...

For My Friend...

A quick and fresh little card I made to accompany a package overseas...
The baker's twine is back, and I tried to find the right colors to match it.

I punched the linen card stock edge with a Martha Stewart edger.

The mason jar is a Stamp By Judith and I added a tag made with a Sparkle 'n Sprinkle little stamp.

The little flower is part of a Fancy Pants Design set called Doodles and Things.

The coloring is made with watercolor pencils but I kept them dry this time.

Until next time...

Mason Jar Thank You Card

MASON JAR...
...thank you card.

One more! This one was an easy switch.

I am still in love with the mini cards I made to accompany the care packages we will be making later this week (post #245).

I thought it will make a beautiful thank you card.

I just had to make it a standard 4Bar size.

-258-

I used a Rubber Cafe stamps for the daisies, and a Stamp By Judith mason jar stamp.

I propped the Mason Jar image with foam stickies and tied a very slim ribbon around the mouth of the jar.

I rounded the corner of the cards.

Watercolor pencils coloring give the whole image a smooth finish.

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

Until next time...

Flowers in Jars

FRESH...

... I felt like designing a "fresh" card...

When my kids were little there was not a day that passed by when one would not come to find me in the kitchen with a little flower they had picked in the garden for me.

I would grab a jam jar, fill it up with water and put the lone flower in on top of the countertop.

How proud would I make them then....

Three kids, three flowers, in the three windows of this card.

This is a peek of my life, some 10 years ago...

-244-

This window card is from A Cut Above, the mason jar stamp is from Stamps by Judith.

The lone flower is a composite of a stem by Martha Stewart and a daisy stubby from Stamps by Judith.

The circular Happy Birthday stamp is from Sparkle'n Sprinkle, and I attached the tag made with a punch with some Martha Stewart baker's twine.

The Copic markers were lightly used.

Until next time....
