To keep in the spirit of Mother's Day, another loving thought, two daisies in a white vase.

With a very simple little sentiment from Sprinkle n' Sparkle, I guess it could also be used for a Birthday card.

Here is a close up of the flowers.

I used a die cut from Provocraft for the flowers and stems.

The heart of the flowers is made with a dimensional paint called Paper-Pen from Viva.

Mother's Day Heart

As I was having coffee with my good friend this morning, and she began to talk about her plans for Mother's Day, it suddenly hit me, do I have enough Mother's Day cards? 

I know I was all decked up with my graduation cards but Mother's day cards? I think not.

Three more days, I can do it....

Here my first twin try, one in Tiffany's Blue and one in Kraft, the two colors I am the most comfortable working with.

And what do you know? I found in my stash baker's twine to match.

Here is a close up so you can see the two different embossing folder that were used.

This one is called "Rings"

That one, "Retro Squares".

I cut the heart with a Spellbinder Nestabilities, and propped the plain white card stock with some dimensionals.

The sentiment was printed before hand.

Ever since I found that Mason Jar stamp, I have been thinking of the best way to use it in a card.

A jar. A jar is filled with something. Jam. Sweet things.

OK, let's filled mine with love.

After the Scrapbook fair last week end, I came back with a load-ful of embossing folders, that I also was dying  to use.

I run the silver card stock through my cuttlebug in a Chevron Cuttlebug embossing folder. I was trying to match the silver ink I used with my Mason Jar INKADINKADO stamp.

I first stamped the image on vellum, then embossed it with a Heart cuttlebug embossing folder.

I then added a yellow card stock that I trimmed just a little bigger than the jar itself.

The labels is from Kaiser Scrapbook and the sentiment is a tiny one from Sparkle n' Sprinkle.

I finished the card with a yellow baking twine, I cannot get enough of those...

 I used the art Impressions stamp "Window to the World" and let my Copics work their magic throughout. I also filled up the coloring with a Crystal Lacquer which gives a glossy and 3D feeling.

Look below how the window panes and the icing of the cake

 shine.

The window open on a cake with one candle but since I wish many more birthdays to CAS-ual Fridays, I had to add the years to come in the background.

The cake is part of a Close to my Heart set called "Make a wish" and the numbers come from another set from Stamps of Life, "Numbers4Cake".

The sentiment on the outside was printed on my computer... I couldn't find "And many more..." anywhere!!!!

I always like toying with dimensional card, or adding a "peeking" window..

I found that wonderful Outside Window stamp from Arts Impressions, and the nice thing about it, is that it couples with a whole set of "window views".

It was hard to decide on a few, so I chose a "happy birthday" one and a "new baby" one.

Once I finished coloring the two stamps, I just added a Sparkle' n Sprinkle sentiment on the outside. Since the only thing you see when the card is closed is the cake, it was wonderfully fitting!

Just when I thought I was done with Graduation cards ideas, I remembered I had some black graduation tins from Scrap Yard 329 I hadn't yet used.

Well here they are!

Coupled with the usual cap and diploma I have been using on all the others cards, I thought it would be perfect when peeking through the little windows of the A Cut Above window card...

You can't really tell on the picture below but the black square is actually a tin cap and diploma.

A quick and fresh little card I made to accompany a package overseas...
 The baker's twine is back, and I tried to find the right colors to match it.

I punched the linen card stock edge with a Martha Stewart edger.

The mason jar is a Stamp By Judith and I added a tag made with a Sparkle 'n Sprinkle little stamp. 

The little flower is part of a Fancy Pants Design set called Doodles and Things.

The coloring is made with watercolor pencils but I kept them dry this time.

Hi there! Just came back from the Scrapbook Expo fair with some wonderful new toys/tools. My favorite new addition, is no contest that new stamp from Arts Impressions:

How funny is that?

I also was blown away by this booth ScrapYard 329 carrying all kind of embossed metal embellishments. Those are tins, lightweight and easy enough to tape anywhere. I chose to tape them to a band of black card stock on the inside of a ACutAbove windows card.

I fell for the Birthday tins below:

And here is the card that was created as I was listening to the last hour before the French President was announced... (don't start me on that...)

I am so much more productive when I am stressed....

More Silver Graduation Cards

As the graduation announcements are piling in my mail box, I realized I might need more Congratulations Graduate cards.

So this is what I did this afternoon.

Keeping with the silver and white spirit,

I came up with 4 more ideas. I think I might actually have enough cards, now.

 Idea #1:

I finally used this Cuttlebug embossing folder I own and never got out. I must admit, cutting the top right corner out is not my idea. I saw this on Pinterest, and the beautiful card comes from this blog:

The sentiments are also embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, and the diploma is a stamp from Sparkle'n Sprinkle.

The cap is from this wonderful $1 Michael's stamp set.

Idea #2:

Keeping with the same idea, I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder I just received: this one embosses two sets of two horizontal lines. 

In the space between them I taped a silver ribbon.

The sentiment are embossed with those mini Cuttlebug embossing folders, and I added a diploma or cap with dimensionals.

Idea #3:

Not that much different from the last one, just a circular sentiment on top of a black card stock cut with a Lifestyle Craft Scalloped Circle.

Embossing folders galore... there are the Cuttlebug with horizontal lines, this time set right in the middle, the mini Cuttlebug folders "simple shapes" for the silver flower and diamond, and the mini sentiment ones.

Lacrosse Thank You

Here comes the end of the school year, and with it, the end of the spring sports season. It is a bitter sweet time, because just when you begin to know the parents, the coaches, and players, you have to part... until next year.

I volunteered to make the thank you cards for the coaches and have the kids sign a card for our team moms who work so hard for us for 4 months.

Needless to say, I had fun.

Our high school colors are red and black and our team is the Vikings.... hence the font, "Viking Normal" and the head of the viking on the inside of the card.

I used a QuicKutz die cut to make the Lacrosse Stick.

The Thank You sentiment in the first card is done with a Sparkle'n Sprinkle stamp.

The second "thank you" was printed using the Viking Normal font and cut off with an EK punch.

The red and white linen and silver card stock are from paperandmore.com.

Another Graduation Card

I guess the weather outside is putting me in the mood, we have May Grey or June  Gloom, your pick. 

Hence, my graduation cards ideas are still flowing in.

I was keeping with the silver/black/ diploma/ round sentiment/ cap from the previous cards, but I added something new, that you might be able to see better on the detail picture below of the bottom left of the card.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the top part of the card, and a mini folder to emboss the "You did it!".

I also scored two sets of double line on each side of this little sentiment.

The cap and the diploma are propped up with dimensionals.
