Be Merry and Bright

Be Merry and Bright.

Same idea, but this time I punched three snowflakes with a QuickQuz die cut called Sparkle.

I punched those out of shiny white paper, for the "bright" part.

The sentiment was printed beforehand.

Until next time.

Warmest Wishes

Warmest Wishes

A quick and seasonal card, at least if you are lucky enough to live where palm trees  are in your everyday life even during the holidays.

I used a palm Tree All Night Media stamp and printed the Warmest Wished from my computer beforehand on Kraft paper.

I also stamped the palm tree trunk on a white fuzzy paper and added it to the stamped image.

Wishing you Rainbows and Sunshine (pastel colors)

Wishing You Rainbows and Sunshine

100 posts ago, I did a card that I really adore (post # 46) but it was pure hell to make.

After falling in love with those floral embellishments from Recollections, I revisited this lovely card, using pastel colors instead.

I added a drop of 3D paint in the center of the flowers.

I also punched the clouds out of a sky blue distressed paper with my Fiskars clouds punch.

Less work, more pleasure and a prettier card. Winner!!!!!

Where Has the Time Gone

Where Has the Time Gone.

Another birthday, another holiday and you cannot prevent your self from thinking, we were just there, but where has the time gone?

I used the Sprinkle'n Sparkle Birthday stamp set and used my copic markers to add touches of color.

The top sentiment is highlighted with sponged ink.

The edge is cut with a Martha Stewart edger punch.

Have Your Cake

Have Your Cake...
... and eat it too.

On your birthday, they should be procuration and you should be able to do the craziest thing and not be penalized for it. Like eating a pound of your favorite cake without worrying.

This is what the designers at Sparkle'n Sprinkle were thinking when they thought of that stamp.

I punched a small circle to let the image of the cake stand out and added the sentiment on the outside flap.

I then used a Martha Stewart edger punch to add a decorative edge to the card.

Newborn Feet

Newborn Feet.

Same card in different color... I found this baby feet image on the internet and printed it on a white linen liner. I then added a color card stock, and punched a little window with a Martha Stewart Punch all over the Page punch.

I used an EK edger punch to finish the card and added a little piece of ribbon at the spine of the card.

Happy Birthday Two Gifts

Happy Birthday Two Gifts.

Same card, different version... instead of a line of gift, I chose to use an EK punch and add two gifts from the Martha Stewart stamp and punch..

I added a little swirl punched with a Recollections mini punch, and an embossed sentiment from the Thanks a Bunch set from Sparkle'n Sprinkle.

Happy Birthday Hanging Gift

Happy Birthday Hanging Gift.

Another card of the same line, cf post # 129 and # 130.

I embossed the stamped sentiment this time, and added one more hanging gift.

The rest is the same: Martha Stewart edger punch, Martha Stewart stamp and punch Gift and Sparkle'n Sprinkle Thanks a Bunch set.

Here i the same card on a baby blue card stock. A whole different card... funny.

A Friend

A Friend...
... is the nicest thing to have.

Patricia, who commented below, should know it.

We have been friends since a little after being out of diapers (I wish) , 33 years ago. That makes us both 29.

In true friendship, the giving is sweeter than the receiving. In many occasions, I noticed that we both think and act the same when confronted with the same situation.

I don't know which one "bled" on the other, but that must be the meaning of sister souls.

Posted by Picasa-137-

I printed the quote with two fonts, so that "nicest" and "best" would stand out.

I added a Teddy Bear stamped image and a blue matting.

You Make Me Smile

You Make Me Smile.

When my kids were little I had this Disney characters crib linen that got ripped but in no way was I going to trash it.

I actually use it... a lot! Not for crib lining, but each time I need a Disney Character... do you see it, bottom right?

Yes, it is made out of cloth.

I printed the sentiment on white linen, added a touch of color with my White Moon copic marker, a stamped on striped blue card stock teddy bear and a Martha Stewart bow.

All that on kraft paper.

Get Well Soon

Get Well Soon.

I found that paper with writing on it, and thought that it will be pretty to punch some clouds out of it.

I stuck a sun under, added some dotted line under the clouds to mimic the rain, and used my prettiest handwriting for the sentiment.

Thinking of You

Thinking of You

This ITTY BITTY house and tree stamp is very versatile if you chose to stamp it on different color card stock. I kept the tree on the kraft but added a stamped house on a striped blue card stock.

This card stock is solid blue on its reverse side and I punched two clouds one in solid blue and one in striped blue.

I added dimensionals under the top cloud.

The "thinking of you" sentiment was printed beforehand and die cut with a Lifestyle Party Flags die cut.

I added a piece of sheer ribbon through the opening, and again at the bottom of the card.

Here is another version on white linen:

Happiness

Happiness.

This Irish blessing stuck to me enough that I wanted to make a card with it.

Happiness being the important word in this quote, I chose a different font for it which made it stand out.

I matted it in light blue card stock and used a striped light blue card stock to stamp the house from ITTY BITTY on. The house, whose door the happiness is going to go through...

I chose a kraft card stock for the card but it would be as striking on a white linen.

Seasons greetings Hanging Gift

Seasons Greetings Hanging Gift.

You take the same idea and make it a Christmas card by adding a single gift hanging by a mini white ribbon.

The lone gift was made with another Martha Stewart stamp and punch combo.

This time I just punched the little stars out, to reveal the white linen below.

Thank You So Much Line of Gifts

Thank You So Much, Line of Gifts.

Sometimes a tool is all you need to create a whole line of cards.

This Martha Stewart gifts in a line edger punch is one of those.

The cut out is very delicate and if you add a pretty background color, they seem to stick out of the page.

I went back to my Tiffany blue paper and added some mini punched stars from Recollections.

I then stamped yet another sentiment from the Sparkle'n Sprinkle Thanks a Bunch set in a Tiffany blue ink.

In shortening the border with the gifts lined up, and changing the message, you can do a whole different card altogether. For example, below a shower announcement:

Now, if you prefer a baby blue card stock for a shower, here is another version of it:

Happy Birthday Hanging Window

Happy Birthday Hanging Window

A very simple to make card, that you can customize with different ribbon, sentiment or inside lining.

Below are two versions of it: a linen card with a tiffany blue lining and a blue and brown Martha Stewart ribbon and a Kraft with white linen lining and a smaller Martha Stewart ribbon.

The sentiment is from a Sparkle'n Sprinkle set, Thanks a Bunch.

Happy Birthday Gifts

Happy Birthday Gifts.

Sometimes an idea looks like a million in your head and when you try yourself at it, you begin to wonder if it was indeed such a good idea.

Here you got one.

Have you ever tried to tie a very small ribbon tight around a piece of card stock that you do not want to buckle?

You got my point.

So if you feel adventurous and have one of those days full of time and patience, be my guest. The result will be worth it.

If not, wait for one of those day.

Posted by Picasa-124-

I just cut some squares and rectangles of assorted size and did just that, tie a slim ribbon around. And yes, no matter how many time you follow the same directions to make a bow, it is hit or miss for a perfectly lined up bow.

Until next time.

Seasons Greetings

Seasons Greetings.

Another card for the upcoming holiday.... and every time there is doodling, I am happy!

I was looking for some candy canes embellishments I could use... no luck.

So I took some crossed candy canes stickers and got rid of the offending cane.

I then propped those with some dimensionals and doodled a holding line in between.

The Seasons Greetings sentiment is a Craft Smart stamp.

Make a Wish Blue Bouquet

Make a Wish Blue Bouquet.

A beautiful stamp from the Rubber Cafe... it just needed a touch of color and I tried my hand at this copic markers technique of coloring. Fortunately it is very forgiving and I plan on learning a little more each day.

I used my cuttlebug to make this Lattice Rectangle with a Spellbinder Nestability, and stamped the sentiment on a kraft card stock.

I then added two color ribbons to echo the two tones in the flower.

To My Sunny Friend

To My Sunny Friend.

Well, it happened again... I found a stamp that I had no knowledge I ever owned, or purchase or want to purchase for that matter.

My Sunny Friend... let's add a "TO" to it, now I got it.

Doesn't it make more sense?

Still loving those paper flowers and trying every single place to stick them on. Here on a piece of Kraft paper, stamped in white ink and with a puffy paint center.

Tiffany Blue Sunflower Notes

Tiffany Blue Sunflower Notes.

With two punches, one circle and one scalloped, you can make those cards in no time.

You can also use Nestabilities and make them of different size.

The size of the scalloped circle is 3.5 in, and the middle circle is 3 in. They fit in 4bar envelopes.

Tiffany Blue Branch in Bloom.

Once again, the same combination: Tiffany blue paper on white linen, Floral embellishments from Recollections and this time I used a Rubber Stampede branch in bloom stamp, and masked the flowers with the paper ones.

Puffy paint in their center, et voila!

Here is the same card, this time without the Tiffany Blue paper:
